Rumors of Dejan Lovren's move to AS Roma appear to be invalidated. Liverpool as the owner of the defender reportedly blocked the move of the center back to the Italian capital.

Lovren himself was reportedly unhappy at Liverpool. This follows the lack of hours of play he got, after he lost out to Virgil van Dijk and Joel Matip.
Serie A club AS Roma are reported to be studying Lovren's situation. They are called to seduce the Croatia national team defender to move to Italy this summer.
But Gazzetta Dello Sport claims that Lovren's transfer to Rome was canceled. Because Liverpool management has rejected proposals submitted by Il Lupi.
According to the report, AS Roma made a loan offer for Lovren this summer.
The 30-year-old defender is planned to be borrowed for one season. At the end of the loan period they have the option to permanently defend the defender.
But the offer was considered not good enough in the eyes of Liverpool. As a result they decided to reject the offer.
The same report also claims that aside from being less attractive, Liverpool rejected Roma's offer at Jurgen Klopp's request.
The Reds tactician still sees Lovren as a useful player for him. For that he still does not want to part with the former Southampton.
Klopp also plans to give the defender minutes to play in September, when his team is involved in the Champions League and also the Carabao Cup.
AS Roma itself has reportedly found a replacement for Lovren in the transfer market this time.
The team nicknamed the Giallorossi are believed to be bidding on Manchester United defender Chris Smalling.
